Upcoming update

I should have the alternate rules pdf up in the next few days. They're basically just a jumble of mix and match rules that can be thrown in that make the game easier, harder or just more interesting depending on which combination of rules are selected. Some stand on their own regardless of the rules chosen, others work better with or even require the use of more alternate rules in order to function while a couple of them contradict each other in game-ruining ways and probably shouldn't be used to together. You folks should be able to figure that all out yourselves by experimenting with the alternate rules and figuring out which combination you like best. The PDF including minimalist art would probably be added a bit later, if at all. The current plan for any artwork is to keep it extremely simple like the cover art is, as well as to use only red and black (since the stereotypical playing card deck is in those two colors).

edit: Things have taken a little longer than I intended because I've been procrastinating. The alternate rules should be up at maximum within a week's time and maybe in a month or two the base rules with the minimalist artwork will be ready. Also, I've been thinking of adding in one of the Creative Commons licenses to the rules so people could use them for their own projects under the guidelines. Haven't picked which one yet though, more info on that later. I'd probably keep the version of the base rules without the license on the page as a sort of legacy document. Again, all of the new rules and art-including base rules are going to be released for free with the option to tip, same as the base game.  Hope it's been fun exploring the wood so far!
